Welcome to the Peninsula Foundation

The Peninsula Foundation was founded in 1977 by the late Robert Hunker. Upon his passing, his properties and his legacy passed to the Peninsula Foundation.

We preserve the heritage, character and vitality of Peninsula and Cuyahoga Valley through arts, education and historic preservation.

About Our Mission

The mission of the Peninsula Foundation revolves around two major areas:

The Arts – We present quality educational and arts programming  that is accessible to all. We provide exceptional programs through the Voices in the Valley concert series at the G.A.R Hall and on the Bronson Green.  We organize  Master Music Workshops, Artists in Residency Programs and Peninsula’s Music on the Porches festival.

Historic Preservation – We are the loving caretakers of over twenty of Peninsula’s historically significant buildings. These unique spaces support the arts and educational programming provided by the Peninsula Foundation. They provide entreprenurial opportunities that reflect the character of the Cuyahoga Valley. We furnish spaces for people to linger, live and explore this beautiful area.

Our Mission Statement:
We preserve the heritage, character and vitality of Peninsula and Cuyahoga Valley through arts, education and historic preservation.

The G.A.R. Hall: Home of Voices in the Valley

Voices in the Valley

The Peninsula Foundation is proud to showcase traditional roots music in the beauty of the Historic G.A.R. Hall. This nationally acclaimed program welcomes local, national and international touring musicians to the intimate setting of this beautiful, grand old hall. Beer, wine and adult beverages are available for patrons to enjoy.

The Peninsula Foundation believes in supporting the artists that create the art. We do this by providing a unique listening room and fair pay to artists who perform there. We rely on ticket sales, sponsorships, grants and donors to accomplish this. Thank you in advance for supporting the arts and arts programming in Northeast Ohio!
