North Carolina–based duo Viv & Riley blend old-soul roots music with fresh indie-folk melodies and the close harmonies of old-time and classic country.

Though raised on opposite sides of the country, Vivian in Virginia and Riley in Washington, they found an immediate musical connection when they met in 2018. Since then, they have performed throughout the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada, earning praise from NPR Music, Rolling Stone, and No Depression, along with more than eight million Spotify streams.

Their latest album, Imaginary People, pairs bittersweet nostalgia with an adventurous indie-roots sound. Through both their original music and their work with award-winning string band The Onlies, Viv & Riley honor tradition while helping shape the future of roots music.
