SUMMARY:Paper Wings
DESCRIPTION:Paper Wings – May 23 \nLong-time friends and collaborators Emily Mann and Wila Frank\, known together as Paper Wings\, dream up warm\, pastoral folk songs suited to wandering through a forest or field\, quiet contemplation\, and long winding journeys. Furnished with delicate banjo and spellbinding harmonies so close you often can’t tell their voices apart\, Frank & Mann deliver dynamic performances emboldened by the strength of their sincere songwriting. The duo have an uncommon ability to tastefully reference nostalgic sounds of American folk music while maintaining their own compelling style of artful and unpretentious lyricism. The strength and solitude one finds in the wilderness is a theme throughout their writing\, and they lovingly transport listeners to open landscapes in which to find comfort and ask the questions which we all have in common. \nWith roots in California and Oregon respectively\, Mann & Frank met as fellow fiddle players attending music camps and festivals growing up. As teenagers\, they developed their instrumental prowess by studying and performing with folk legends such as Alice Gerrard\, Laurie Lewis\, Tim O’Brien\, Steve Earle\, Aoife O’Donovan and Sarah Jarosz among others. It was during this time that they began writing and touring together\, eventually making their way to Nashville where they recorded their debut album Paper Wings in 2017 and sophomore album Clementine in 2019. \nGeneral Admission – 22.00\nJoin us in our Bar Area before the show at 7pm\nDoors to concert hall open at 7:30pm\nMusic at 8pm

SUMMARY:Driftwood
DESCRIPTION:May 30th – Driftwood \nMusic has guided Driftwood to hallowed ground many times since its founding members\, Joe Kollar and Dan Forsyth\, started making music as high schoolers in Joe’s parents’ basement. Whether the Upstate New York folk rock group—which today also includes violinist Claire Byrne\, bassist Joey Arcuri\, and drummer Sam Fishman—are converting new fans on a hardscrabble tour across the country or playing to a devoted crowd at hero Levon Helm’s Woodstock barn\, the band’s shapeshifting approach to folk music continues to break new ground. \n“Driftwood is basically a beautiful friendship that happens to play music together\,” says Joe. “I know it’s rare. I know I’m lucky to know these people and lean on them and go through these massive life changes together.” For Driftwood\, each song is like a journal entry: cathartic to create\, yes\, but capable of unlocking new lessons—and when shared—forging new bonds. “We’re communal\, right? Humans need to be connected\,” Joe says. “And we get to have this special thing.” \nGeneral Admission – 28.00\nJoin us before the show in the bar area at 7pm\nConcert Hall opens at 7:30pm\nMusic at 8pm

SUMMARY:Kieran Kane and Rayna Gellert
DESCRIPTION:June 5th- Kieran Kane and Rayna Gellert \nKieran Kane’s seminal work in The O’Kanes and Kane Welch Kaplin\, as well as co-founding the independent label Dead Reckoning Records\, laid the foundation for the contemporary world of Americana music. A successful solo artist\, collaborator\, and songwriter (with songs recorded by Alan Jackson\, John Prine\, Emmylou Harris\, and many more)\, Kieran is a musician’s musician: his playing is always understated\, always groove-oriented\, and always serving the song. \nIf Rayna Gellert seems a preternaturally gifted songwriter\, it’s because she’s seen farther into the old songs than most. Growing up in a musical family\, she turned to Appalachian old-time music at a young age\, becoming a prodigious fiddler and leading a new revival of American stringband music through her work with the acclaimed roots band Uncle Earl. An in-demand collaborator\, she has toured and recorded with artists such as Scott Miller\, Abigail Washburn\, Joachim Cooder\, and Robyn Hitchcock. \nKieran and Rayna first met\, fittingly\, at San Francisco’s celebrated Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival\, which led to their cowriting songs for Kieran’s solo album Unguarded Moments. They joined forces again for Rayna’s 2017 release\, Workin’s Too Hard (StorySound Records)\, which they also co-produced. Their first duo album\, The Ledges\, was released in February of 2018 on Dead Reckoning Records\, followed up quickly by 2019’s When the Sun Goes Down. \nIn 2022\, this “unlikely musical couple” released The Flowers That Bloom in Spring\, which found the duo digging deeper into their exploration of minimalist writing and production. Their fourth album—simply titled Volume 4—arrived in the spring of 2025. \nFans of either artist will recognize the musical kindred-spiritedness in their restrained and roots-oriented approach to both songs and arrangements. \nGeneral Admission – 25.00\nJoin us in our bar area at 7pm\nDoors open at 7:30

Driven by powerhouse rhythms and Solivan’s commanding vocals\, the band delivers a sound that’s equal parts precision and fire—deeply rooted in tradition\, but never confined by it. \nWith multiple IBMA honors and back-to-back Grammy-nominated albums\, they’ve earned their place on the biggest stages—from the Grand Ole Opry to top festivals across the U.S. and around the world. But it’s their live show that truly sets them apart—tight\, electrifying\, and impossible to ignore. \nBlending bluegrass with touches of rock\, country\, jazz\, and soul\, Dirty Kitchen pushes the genre forward while honoring its roots. SUMMARY:Henhouse Prowlers
DESCRIPTION:June 26th – Henhouse Prowlers\nWith many of their wildest dreams strung across more than two decades together\, the Henhouse Prowlers’ sight remains fixed on the future. \nEver constant in the group’s performances is their ability to showcase their passion for both their craft and our shared humanity. Their latest record\, ‘Unravel\,’ produced by Dark Shadow Recording’s Stephen Mougin (Sam Bush Band) underscores the quartet’s resistance towards being contained\, some tunes expressing a modern Americana feel with others nodding to classic country and bluegrass standards. On this offering\, their trademark four-part harmonies have matured in tone and sincerity\, their picking ferocious as ever. However\, it’s impossible to ensnare the Prowlers’ lifeblood in 45 minutes and 12 tracks. Each member’s skills of storytelling\, compelling songwriting\, and intricate instrumentation shine through their onstage performances. \nIncorporating an inspiring narrative and bluegrass takes on international tunes from their travels\, their live show will captivate minds and capture hearts. The group’s many life-changing encounters as cultural diplomats across the globe have shaped their worldview and bolstered the bridges they establish between cultures\, a main function of the band. For the Henhouse Prowlers\, the work extends far beyond the stage – they are deeply committed to fostering a more compassionate world. \nGeneral Admission – 27.00\nJoin us in our Bar area at 7pm\nConcert Hall opens at 7:30pm\nMusic at 8pm

SUMMARY:HAAS- An evening with sisters Natalie and Brittany Haas
DESCRIPTION:July 2nd- HAAS\nSisters Natalie (cello) and Brittany (fiddle) Haas began their musical lives together\, filling their childhood home with Bach suites and old-time tunes alike. It was on their own\, however-following divergent paths through disparate musical traditions\, countries\, and cultures-that they both arrived as virtuosi and composers at the highest levels of contemporary string music. Fans of acoustic music can hardly mention one without referencing the other’s work. With HAAS\, these singular musicians finally record together – in duo form – for the first time. It is a collaboration a lifetime in the making\, and a music encompassing travels through time and through the world From Nashville to Norway\, the Celtic Isles to California\, Natalie and Brittany have absorbed\, adapted\, and made their own world of music. The result? HAAS. \nNatalie Haas is one of the most sought-after cellists playing traditional music today. Credited with putting cello on the map of contemporary Celtic music\, she brings a wealth of world influences to her instrument\, fashioning a tone and rhythmic sense that transcend any single tradition. Along with her longtime collaborator Alasdair Fraser\, with whom she has toured for over 26 years and released seven albums\, Natalie has charted a new course through the string music of Scotland\, Ireland\, Spain\, and beyond—all without losing the influence of classical technique or her American roots. She and her fiddling sister Brittany Haas (Hawktail\, Punch Brothers\, Crooked Still\, the Dave Rawlings Machine) have just released an album together and have also been touring as a duo for the last several years in Europe\, Australia and the US. Natalie continues to be in high demand as a studio musician and has been a guest artist on over 100 albums\, including those of Cape Breton fiddler Natalie MacMaster\, Irish greats Altan\, Solas\, and Liz Carroll\, and Americana icon Dirk Powell. Through her skills as an educator\, Natalie has inspired a whole new generation of young cellists in folk music at fiddle camps across the globe. \nWebsite | Facebook | Instagram \nBrittany Haas is widely regarded as one of the most influential fiddlers of her generation. Born in Northern California\, Brittany grew up honing her craft at string camps nationwide\, and developed her unique style of fiddling at the influence of her mentors\, Bruce Molsky and Darol Anger. A prodigious youth\, Haas began touring with Darol Anger’s Republic of Strings at the age of fourteen. At seventeen\, she released her debut\, self-titled solo album (produced by Anger). Haas continued to tour and record while simultaneously earning a degree in Evolutionary Biology at Princeton University (where she also minored in Music Performance). It was during her time at Princeton that Brittany was asked to join the seminal “chamber-grass” band Crooked Still\, with whom she has made four recordings and toured the world. She has performed on Late Night With David Letterman and Saturday Night Live as part of Steve Martin’s bluegrass band\, and features on Martin’s Grammy-winning album “The Crow: New Songs for the 5-String Banjo.” Over the years\, she has performed with Bela Fleck\, Abigail Washburn\, Tony Trischka\, Yonder Mountain String Band\, The Waybacks\, Alasdair Fraser & Natalie Haas\, her own band Hawktail\, the Dave Rawlings Machine (featuring Gillian Welch)\, and more. In the fall of 2016\, Haas began performing as part of the house band for Live From Here (formerly known as ‘A Prairie Home Companion’) hosted by Chris Thile and in 2023\, she was asked to join Thile’s the Punch Brothers. \nWebsite | Facebook | Instagram \nGeneral Admission – 38.00 – day of show 40.00 \nJoin us in the bar area at 7pm before the show\nDoors to the concert hall open at 7:30pm\nMusic at 8pm

SUMMARY:Jacob Jolliff Band

His dad started him on the mandolin at age seven and required him to practice ten minutes a day. But after six months of practicing this minimal amount\, something clicked\, and almost overnight he started putting in several hours of intense practice daily. SUMMARY:Charlie Parr
DESCRIPTION:July 15th – Charlie Parr \nIn the music of Charlie Parr\, there is a sincere conviction and earnest drive to create. The Minnesota-born guitarist\, songwriter\, and interpreter of traditional music has released 19 albums over two decades and has been known to perform up to 275 shows a year. Parr is a folk troubadour in the truest sense: taking to the road between shows\, writing and rewriting songs as he plays\, fueled by a belief that music is eternal and cannot be claimed or adequately explained. The bluesman poet pulls closely from the sights and sounds around him\, his lyrical craftsmanship built by his influences. The sounds from his working-class upbringing—including Folkways legends such as Lead Belly and Woody Guthrie—imbue Parr’s music with stylistic echoes of blues and folk icons of decades past. Parr sees himself merely as a continuer of a folk tradition: “I feel like I stand on a lot of big shoulders\,” he said in an interview. “I hope that I’ve brought a little bit of myself to the music.” \nParr’s first album with Smithsonian Folkways\, Last of Better Days Head (2021)\, foregrounded his lyrical craftsmanship and sophisticated bluesman confidence\, with spare production highlighting Parr’s mastery of guitar and elevating his poetry. Last of Better Days Ahead is a portrait of how Parr saw the world in that moment\, reflecting on time and memories that have past while holding an enduring desire to be present. In his 2024 release\, Little Sun\, Parr weaves together stories celebrating music\, community\, and communing with nature. Putting forth an ambitious and raw album that exemplifies the best of Parr’s sound: a blend of the blues and folk traditions he continues to carry with him and the steadfast originality of a poet. \n  \nGeneral Admission: 30.00\nBar area opens at 7pm\nDoors for Concert Hall open at 7:30\nMusic at 8pm

SUMMARY:East Nash Grass
DESCRIPTION:July 30th – East Nash Grass \nHow did East Nash Grass follow up their 2024 International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) award for Best New Artist? By earning a nomination for Entertainer of the Year\, IBMA’s highest honor\, in 2025\, and celebrating fiddler Maddie Denton’s win as Fiddler of the Year. In short\, East Nash Grass have quickly established themselves as the fresh new face of Nashville’s storied bluegrass tradition\, a supergroup of rising stars: Grand Master Fiddle champion Denton is joined by banjo player Cory Walker (banjo player on the five-time nominated “Carter & Cleveland” album this year\, among numerous accolades)\, 2022 IBMA Momentum Mandolin Player of the Year Harry Clark\, and charismatic frontman James Kee. This is an all-star band that harkens back to the sort of talent collected in the original Blue Grass Boys and a powerhouse leader of the next generation in bluegrass excellence. \nRolling Stone had them among the “best of what we saw” at RockyGrass in 2025\, praising their “rowdy set of high-octane bluegrass numbers\,” and noting\, “The group itself is a rapidly-rising force on the national touring scene.” \nAnd “rowdy” is right. They are far more than just a group of impressive instrumental technicians\, building on night after night of three-set gigs on Nashville’s East Side\, playing tiny stages for the love of it between tours backing bigger acts. It’s a hard-forged bond that translates into an infectious on-stage energy that audiences can’t seem to get enough of. \nWith their new release\, “All God’s Children” (Mountain Fever\, August 22\, 2025)\, they show a depth and feel\, too\, that goes well beyond the traditional bluegrass fair\, with nods to Gypsy jazz and East Village folk\, and eye toward moving bluegrass forward and keeping it from being too mired in the past. If East Nash Grass isn’t the future of the genre it’s only because they’re already among its leading lights. \nGeneral Admission: 25.00\nJoin us in the bar area at 7pm\nDoors to the concert Hall open at 7:30pm\nMusic at 8pm
