DESCRIPTION:September 11th-Hey Mavis \nFor more than thirteen years\, Northcoast Americana band Hey Mavis has built a loyal following with heartfelt vocals\, thoughtful songwriting\, expressive fiddle and banjo work\, and an easy onstage chemistry that reflects years of making music together. \nThe group was formed by banjoist and songwriter Laurie Michelle Caner and fiddler Eddie Caner while serving as artists-in-residence in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. They were soon discovered by producer Don Dixon (R.E.M.\, The Smithereens\, Red Clay Ramblers)\, who went on to produce their first two albums — both reaching the Top 10 on the national Folk DJ-L charts and earning praise from critics around the world. \nTheir third release was produced by Adam Aijala of Yonder Mountain String Band and includes a title track co-written with Chuck Auerbach of The Black Keys.
